Activity

Activity reads execution history across kinds and links each result back to the service that owns its state.

Activity shows execution history across kinds in Work & Settings. Use it to see which work caused other work and where to inspect the result.

Ownership

Activity shows work across kinds at /activity in the Console. Its events connect an Action, Workflow, Agent, Function, Pipeline, or writeback. A parent contains the work it caused. Each entry gets its outcome from the service that owns the work. Open that owner for local detail or a repair. Activity does not decide when the work is done.

States

Activity shows loading, ready, empty, denied, partial, failed, stale, or unavailable. Empty means every requested kind answered with no matching rows. Denied means access was refused. Partial means some kinds were withheld. Stale means the shown rows came before a known change. Unavailable means an owning service could not answer. A visible entry can thus lack a known outcome.

Boundaries

Activity is not Task history or the Governance Audit Log. Task history lists changes to one assignment. The Governance Audit Log owns governance evidence. Activity reads cross-kind history and keeps the links between parent and child executions. The call logging contract covers a separate, recorded contact event. It does not start an execution or control the global Activity view.

Failures

Activity refuses a broken parent-child history or a query whose scope cannot be resolved. A link naming an Agent without its identity does not silently widen to all work. A failed read is not an empty result. A missing permission does not prove that nothing ran. An unavailable outcome also does not prove execution failed. Only the owning service can settle that result.

Recovery

Activity recovery follows the displayed state. Clear a filter when a successful read found no matches. Request the named access when kinds were withheld. Reread the same scope after a failed or stale read. For an unavailable outcome, open the linked owner and restore its readback. Check the result there before deciding whether to retry work. Changing a Task cannot repair Activity.
